MARSHFIELD, WISCONSIN - Lois E. Norem, 81, formerly of Mason City, died Thursday, November 26, 2015, at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Evangelical Free Church, 1310 Highway 18 W., Clear Lake, with Pastor Randy Vaage officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third St. N.E., Mason City. Further visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Memorials can be directed to the Lois E. Norem Memorial Fund.

Lois Elayne Norem was born November 29, 1933, in Rockford, Iowa, to Mervil and Mildred (Mathews) Merriss.

Lois graduated from Rockford High School in 1948. She was a long time employee of AC Nielsen, where she retired from. In retirement she worked as a foster grandparent in the special needs classroom in the Mason City school system. She loved working with the children.

She was united in marriage to Albert Tritch in 1953. They were married for 13 years. From this union she was blessed with four children.

She was united in marriage to Bernard Norem on November 22, 1970, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Mason City. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin in 2007, to be closer to family.

She delighted in being surrounded by her family. Especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved cooking for family and taking care of everyone she loved. She was a true servant.

She was a faithful member of the Clear Lake Evangelical Free Church.

She is survived by her four children, Mark D. (Wanda) Tritch of Lincoln, Neb., Michael D. (Lorrie) Tritch of Indianola, Iowa, Randy D. (Debra) Tritch of Saylorville, Iowa, and Lisa (Don) Pannhoff of Marshfield, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Katie Lyons, Justin (Keri), Austin Tritch, Machaela (Riley) Wilson, Allan Tritch, Ryan Pannhoff, and Adam (Jessica) Pannhoff; four great-grandchildren Braxton, Carter, Skylar, and Aiden; one sister, Joyce Havranek, Rockford, Iowa; and many other family members.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bernard.
