Hauser Funeral HomeAvonell "Ann" Ross, 70, of Charles City, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Gordon Berryman from Howardville Wesleyan Church will officiate.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Hauser Funeral Home.
Avonell "Ann" (Robinson) Ross, the daughter of Sib and Normie (Coopley) Robinson, was born on December 27, 1944 in Billy Branch, West Virginia. She received her education in West Virginia and Rittman, Ohio. Ann furthered her education at NIACC receiving a Certified Nursing Assistant certification and Emergency Medical Technician- Intermediate (EMT-I) training.
She was united in marriage to her loving husband, Carl Ross on September 15, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ann devoted 24 years as a Deputy Auditor at the court house, worked at White Farm, as an EMT-I, and a caregiver. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Ann always put her family first.
Above all she enjoyed spending every moment she could with her family. Ann was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend. Ann loved to garden and tend to her fish pond which is why her whole backyard and around her house was covered in flowers. She would always find the "best bargain" at any garage sale.
Living family members include her husband of 51 years, Carl Ross of Charles City; three children: Marie (Bob) Kellogg , Matt (Wendy) Ross, and Mike (Joan) Ross all of Charles City; 13 grandchildren: Nickolas, Kasey, Erica, Danielle, Samantha, Sydney, Ashley, Anthony, Mariah, Jordon, Melissa, Derek, and Darlene; 11 great grandchildren: Brendyn, Haylay, Evelyn, Kaitlyn, Kayden, Camden, Ambree, Rianen, Jesse, Alivia, and Brady; sister, Jewel (Paul) Dean of Wadsworth, Ohio; sister-in-law, Sally Robinson of Doylestown, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jana Rihma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and nine brothers and sisters.
