Service: Friday, October 9, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Lorraine Mae (LaBounty) Krieger, 85, of Charles City, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Cedar Health Nursing Home in Charles City with family at her side.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 9, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Reverend Gary Mayer will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be at Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015, where a Scripture Service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass on Friday.

Lorraine Mae (LaBounty) Krieger, a lifelong resident of Charles City, was born on April 1, 1930, to Harry and Louise (Tommingo) LaBounty. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1948. On August 16, 1948, Lorraine married Gene Krieger at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They were married for 66 years, raising three sons and three daughters.

Lorraine was a devoted wife, loving mother, and outstanding homemaker. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church including St. Theresa's Circle and Rosary Society. Gene and Lorraine loved to vacation, visiting kids and grandkids in Pensacola, Florida. Following Gene's retirement from White Farm Equipment in 1993, this became a winter retreat for several months each year. They also enjoyed day trips and monthly bus trips to casinos.

Living family members include children: Tom (Joy) of Nashua, Mike (Angie) of Pensacola, Florida, Dave (Kathy) and Lori (Tom) Eckenrod all of Charles City, and Linda Kahl and Jan (Terry) Bass all of Pensacola, Florida; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim (Marcy) of Charles City, Kenny (Dorothy) of Sun City, Arizona and Don (Char) of Castle Rock, Colorado; sister Elaine Eppley of Charles City; sisters-in-law: Arlene LaBounty of Burnsville, Minnesota and Beverly Krieger of Charles City; brother-in-law, Kenny (Imelda) Krieger of Mason City; along with other family members and friends.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; parents, Harry and Louise; and brother, Keith.

The family deeply appreciates the care and comfort provided to Lorraine by the staff of Cedar Health and Hospice of North Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Hospice of North Iowa or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
