Lawrence Joseph Weber, the son of Luvern and Ruby (Fleenor) Weber, was born May 23, 1942 in Charles City, Iowa. He attended school in New Haven, graduating from New Haven High School in 1960. Larry was united in marriage to Margaret Theis on September 10, 1960, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in New Haven. The couple made their home in Charles City where they raised their six children. Larry worked in soft water service, as a plumber for many years and most recently with Mid-American Energy as a fitter/welder where he retired in 2004.

Larry was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Iowa Horseshoe Pitching Association. He enjoyed reading, eating, pitching horseshoes, watching old country western movies, NASCAR, watching sports (especially the New York Yankees), and sleeping in his chair with his dog, CoCo. Larry loved spending time with his family, but his most treasured times were those spent with his grandchildren. He was always up for a friendly conversation, lecture or debate often taking the opposing side of an issue to make for a great discussion.
