MRS. ELIZABETH FOX RITES WERE TUESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Frances Fox, 95, of Greene were held Tuesday, May 4 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greene with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Msgr. Edmund Cooney officiated with Reid’s Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Fox was born November 10, 1880 in Greene to Bernard & Mary (Emken) Springer and died May 1 at the Riverside Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

She is survived by 1 sister, Marjorie Springer, a resident of the 11th St., Chautauqua Gues Home in Charles City; 1 nephew, Melvin Springer of Montgomery, Minnesota; 1 niece, Jeanne Springer of Greene; and 1 daughter in law, Mrs. Leona Fox of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Fox, 2 sons, Burdell and; 3 brothers, Bandy, Bill & Leo; and 1 sister Mary.
Mrs. Fox was a member of St. Mary’s Circle and the Rosary Society of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
