William I Wagner – July 1, 1872 – March 16, 1946

WILLIAM I. WAGNER, MARBLE ROCK MAN, FUNERAL YESTERDAY
DIED SATURDAY AT CHARLES CITY HOSPITAL FOLLOWING EXTENDED ILLNESS. FATHER OF TWO.

Funeral services for William I. Wagner, age 73, Marble Rock man, was held yesterday afternoon at the Marble Rock Methodist Church under the direction of the Rev. H. F. Mercer of Greene, pastor of the church. Burial was made in West Side Cemetery.

Mr. Wagner died in the Charles City Hospital Saturday following an extended illness.

He was born July 1, 1872 in Stephenson County, Illinois, and came with his parents to Floyd County in 1881. The family settle in the Marble Rock community, where Mr. Wagner since made his home.

He was married July 26, 1901, to Mary Alma Heller. There are surviving two children, LeRoy Wagner, who is in the armed forces, and Ima Bullemer of Wapello. Two children, Lydia May and Lawrence H. died in infancy.

There are also two brothers and two sisters living, Frank Wagner of Milton, Minnesota, Lewis Wagner of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Mary Stock and Mrs. Wrate Losee of Marble Rock.
