OLD TIME RESIDENT OF FLOYD COUNTY DIES
RUSSELL SHULTZ DIES AT SON’S HOME NEAR ROCKFORDMarble Rock, Feb. 21 – Another old-time resident of this vicinity has passed away.
Russell Shultz, who was born in the state of Pennsylvania, October 20, 1849, died at the home of his son, Earl, at Rockford on Saturday.
Mr. Shultz was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Paxton Shultz his parents in 1874, and has resided here ever since. His wife preceded him in death fourteen years ago.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Lucy Fargo, two sons, John Wesley and Joseph Earl; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Lamb and Mrs. Richard Thorne, of Marble Rock; two brothers, Phillip of Rockford, and George, of Marble Rock.
Funeral services were held in the Christian Church here yesterday afternoon, in charge of Rev. I. W. Inman, of Charles City. Interment was in the Hill Side Cemetery at Marble Rock.
