Clyde John Thieman – September 5, 1892 – December 4, 1967

RITES TODAY FOR CLYDE THIEMAN, 75

Clyde Thieman, 75, passed away Monday morning at the Floyd County Veteran’s Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He was born in Floyd County near Marble rock on September 5th, 1892, son of William and Mary Carbiener Thielman.

He married Anna Esser and the couple farmed in Marble Rock community until retiring. He also served in World War I.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Pauline) Kingery, of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Thieman, of Marble Rock and Ernest Thieman, of Janesville; and one sister, Mrs. Dora Ackley, of Marble Rock.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Wednesday, at 1:30 at Reid’s Funeral Chapel in Marble Rock with Rev Donald Welsh, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Greene, officiating.
Burial will be held in West Side Cemetery at marble Rock. Reid’s Funeral chapel is in charge of arrangements.
