CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Donna Murray, 79, of Waukee, Iowa, and formerly of Charles City, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.
A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 20 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City, with the Rev. Gary Mayer and the Rev. Gene Murray officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.
Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City, where there will be a scripture service at 5 p.m.
Visitation will also be held an hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, in Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

Immaculate Conception Catholic ChurchDonna Murray, 79, of Waukee formerly of Charles City died July 15, 2015 at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.
A funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 20, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Reverend Gary Mayer and Reverend Gene Murray will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.
Visitation will be held at Hauser Funeral Home from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015, with a Scripture Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the funeral Mass on Monday at the church.
Donna Faye (Snyder) Murray, the daughter of O.B. and Kathryn (Treinen) Snyder, born on October 1, 1935 on a farm in Sanborn, Iowa. She graduated in 1954 from Sanborn High School then continuing her education at Saint Joseph's College in Sioux City as a Registered Nurse. On August 23, 1958 Donna and Raymond Murray were united in marriage in Sanborn, Iowa. Donna was a hard working woman who devoted 20 years at Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City as a Registered Nurse in the emergency room.
After retirement worked at the local hospice in Charles City. Donna was a teacher's aide at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a member of PEO, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and Saint Theresa's Circle.
Donna was a kind hearted, witty, strong minded woman who helped everyone. She enjoyed playing cards (Bridge), playing piano, social hour, gardening, sewing, cooking, baking (bread), walking, bicycling and loved animals. Donna enjoyed walking with her husband and dog every night and looking out at their farm. After retirement for 20 years she and her husband would winter in Mission, Texas. Donna loved her friends and family dearly.
Living family members include her husband, Raymond; three children: Tom (Cindy) Murray of Urbandale, Ron (Christine Kazmier) Murray of DePere, Wisconsin, and Kay Murray of Johnston; five grandchildren: Matthew, Jacob, Brady, Shelby, and Patrick; five brothers: Gary Snyder, Phil (Jean) Snyder, Stan (Donna) Snyder, Lee (Gay) Snyder, and Wayne (Barbara) Snyder; two sisters: Mary (Jack) Rohrs, and Ann (Rich) Trigg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-law, Avis Snyder.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Parkinson's Support Group of Charles City c/o Carol Quade 2305 March Ave Charles City, Iowa 50616 and/or Hospice of North Iowa 232 2nd Street SE Mason City, Iowa 50401.
