Wilhelmina “Minnie” (Oeser) Winchell Parker –May 5, 1863 Germany – June 27, 1949 Britt, Hancock, Iowa

FUNERAL RITES FOR MRS. MINNIE PARKER HELD WEDNESDAY

Brief funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Winchell Parker Wednesday afternoon, June 29th at Hillside Cemetery conducted by Rev. Lester E. Gatch of Britt.

Mrs. Parker passed away June 27 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Henry Meyer at Britt. Although she had been in frail health for some time, death came suddenly.

Mrs. Parker was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, May 5, 1863. Her girl-hood was spent on a farm with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Oeser Sr., Marble Rock.

After reaching young woman-hood she was married to Gene Winchell of Marble Rock. Two children were born to this union, Lois, now Mrs. Henry Meyer of Britt and Oscar Winchell of Red Owl, South Dakota.

Later she was married to Charles Parker of Minneapolis, Minnesota where they resided until after Mr. Parker’s death when she made her home with the Meyer’s family at Britt.
