Leta Belle (Jewell) Nikolas – November 9, 1901 – May 13, 1962

RITES HELD FOR MRS. NIKOLAS, 60

Mrs. Herman Nikolas, 60, passed away Sunday, May 13th, at her home in Marble Rock following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Nikolas, the former Leta Belle Jewell, was born November 9, 1901, at Dumont. She was united in marriage to Herman Nikolas on May 16, 1923.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Carol Peterson of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Mrs. Helen Handt of Charles City and Mrs. Beulah Kramer of Rockford; one son Frank Nikolas of Park Rapids, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren; and one brother, Oscar Jewell of Mason City.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Marble Rock with Rev. George Baker officiating. Burial was held in West Side Cemetery. The Reid-Hamilton Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
