Elizabeth (Carbiener) Mills – December 29, 1869 – November 22, 1957

ELIZABETH MILLS SUCCUMBED FRIDAY

Elizabeth Carbiener Mills, 87, passed away Friday, November 22, at the Mitchell Nursing Home in Rockford, where she had been a patient for several years.

She was born December 29, 1869 near Marble Rock, one of the 13 children of Michael and Mary Hanmon Carbiener. Her entire life was spent in and around Marble Rock.

She was united in marriage to Grant Mills. Four children were born to this union, Louis and Veral deceased, Mrs. Guy Garber (Zoe), of Marble Rock, and Mrs. Albert Ward (Roe) of Woodland, California survive her. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Weaver Funeral Home in Rockford, Rev. Van Ben Schoten officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Marble Rock,
