Louis Grant Mills – April 29, 1890 – January 23, 1946
LOUIS GRANT MILLS DIED AT MARBLE ROCK WEDNESDAY EVENING
PNEUMONIA RESULTED IN HIS DEATH AT HOME OF HIS MOTHER, MRS. LIZZIE MILLS. FUNERAL HELD LAST SATURDAY.Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Louis Grant Mills, age 55 of Marble Rock at the Bethel Baptist Church in Marble Rock under the direction of the Rev. George C. Foster, pastor of the church.
Burial was held in West Side Cemetery at Marble Rock. Mr. Mills died last Wednesday night about 7:30 o’clock following an illness of pneumonia and complications.
He lived in the Marble Rock community all of his life, having been born on a farm near Marble Rock, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Mills on April 29, 1890.
He was married to Cora Freeman October 20, 1915.
There are surviving his mother and three children, Mrs. Fred Bunker of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Harry Mills and Percy Mills, both of Rockford, Illinois, and five grandchildren. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Guy Garber of marble Rock and Mrs. Albert Ward of Salem, Oregon.
