COLIN McCAULEY DIES; FUNERAL TO BE THURSDAY

Marble Rock – Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel here for Colin McCauley, 79. He died Monday at Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City.

Mr. McCauley was stricken with a heart attack Wednesday and taken to the hospital Thursday night.

He was born November 17, 1877, at Ontario, Canada, the son of James Edward McCauley and Isabel Mann McCauley. When he was five he came with his parents to Minnesota and later moved to the Marble Rock vicinity.

On September 13, 1899, he was married to Maude Ritter. They farmed in the Marble rock vicinity until retirement in 1949.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Earl, Rockford; a daughter, Mrs. John (Ethel) Johnston, Charles City; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one half-brother, Roy Shuefelt, Laramie, Wyoming.

The Rev. George Baker, pastor of the Methodist Church at Rockford, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in West Side Cemetery here.
