Dale E. Hodges – 1930 – April 21, 1941

MARBLE ROCK YOUTH OF 10 YEARS DIED AFTER ILLNESS OF LEUKEMIA

Dale Hodges, age 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hodges of Marble rock, died at the home of his parents Monday morning about 4:00 o’clock following a three year’ illness of the disease of leukemia.

It had been known for more than a year that death was inevitable, because of the fatal type of disease.

The family lived at Powersville until last February when the residence was changed to marble Rock. There are the parents and three small sisters, living, Ella Mae, age six, Doris, age three, and Carol age one month.
Funeral service is being held tomorrow afternoon at the Bethel Baptist church at Marble Rock under the direction of the Rev. A. I. Osborne, pastor of the church. Burial will be in the Marble Rock cemetery.

Dale was the son of Charles Edward Hodges and Hulda Victoria (Hesse) Hodges.

He was buried in Westside Cemetery, Marble Rock, Floyd, Iowa
