NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - William Robert "Bill" Baylor, 72, of Nora Springs died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. with a one hour prior visitation on Sunday, June 28, at Fullerton Funeral Home. The Rev. David Schreiber from United Church of God will be officiating.

Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City will be at a later date.

William Robert “Bill” Baylor, 72, of Nora Springs, Iowa, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at his home.

NORA SPRINGS, IOWA - William “Bill” Robert Baylor, 72, of rural Nora Springs, died at his home on Tuesday, June 23rd.

Bill was born in Mason City on September 24th, 1942, to Robert and Martha (Baylor) Champlin. He grew up in Clear Lake and graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended North Iowa Area Community College for two years. While in high school, he qualified two years to sing in the Iowa All State Choir.

He served three years in the Marine Corps, spending most of his enlisted time in Southern California. He was a journeyman electrician for 19 years and worked most of those years for Dewey Electric.

In 1988 he began Bill's Window Cleaning and served many businesses and homeowners in the Mason City/Clear Lake area until his retirement in 2013.

Bill was adventurous and his hobbies included life-guarding at City Beach in Clear Lake and in the Marine Corps, scuba diving in California, camping, fishing and flying as well as developing a fine appreciation for music. He was actively involved in the Church of God since 1974 participating in Spokesmens Club, as well as song leading and giving sermonettes. He was happiest when he was leading the choir in special music. Bill was also a member of the Board of Directors at North Iowa Community Credit Union for many years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gayle (Barnard) Baylor; four children, Scott (and Carrie Marie) Baylor of Texas, Dawn (and Scott) Familetti of Wisconsin, Martha (and Brian) Gilley of Kansas and Paul (and Trishia) Baylor of Iowa.

Surviving grandchildren are Zachary and Christopher Baylor of Texas; Nathan, Elizabeth and Brody Familetti of Wisconsin; Ashlynn, Brennen, Conner and Daenen Gilley of Kansas.

Bill was preceded in death by both parents, Robert Clair Baylor and Martha Myers Baylor Champlain.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2015, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd St. S.E., Mason City, IA 50401, 641-423-8676. Pastor David Schreiber from United Church of God will be officiating.

Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Mason City, Iowa, will be at a later date.
