Agnes Jane (Galbraith) Dunning – April 2, 1869 – May 25, 1945

FUNERAL SERVICE FOR MRS. AGNES DUNNING HELD ON LAST FRIDAY
LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF MARBLE ROCK COMMUNITY DIES AT CHARLES CITY HOSPITAL. SURVIVED BY TWO DAUGHTERS.

Mrs. Agnes Jane Dunning, age 76, life-long resident of the marble Rock community, died last Friday following an illness of nearly two weeks at a Charles City hospital.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Marble Rock Methodist church under the direction of the Rev. H. F. Mercer, pastor of the church, and burial was made in West Side Cemetery, at Marble Rock.

Born in Scott Township April 2, 1869, Mrs. Dunning was the youngest of a family of 12, all of whom but two brothers preceded her in death.
She was married to William H. Dunning at Charles City March 14, 1894. He preceded his wife in death September 7, 1922.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. William Boom of Marble Rock and Mrs. Clarence Reinhart of East Moline, Illinois, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. There are also two brothers, Samuel Galbraith of Des Moines, and Hugh Galbraith, who lived with his sister in Marble Rock.
