Alice Louisa “Lulu” (Voelker) Bailey – September 28, 1879 – November 21, 1959

RITES HELD FOR MRS. HOWARD BAILEY

Mrs. Howard Bailey, 79, (Lulu) passed away Saturday afternoon at the Harris Nursing Home in Marble rock.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, William of Clarksville, Leon of Council Bluffs and Harry of Marble Rock; and two daughters; Leota, Mrs. Gordon Rex, Marble Rock and Alice, Mrs. Albert Hennings, Snohomish, Washington, also a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at Bethel Baptist Church in Marble Rock with Rev. A. Van Benschoten officiating. Burial was held in Westside Cemetery. Hamilton’s Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Alice Louisa Voelker, was born September 28, 1879 in Illinois, the daughter of Henry Voelker and Caroline (Myschien) Voelker.

She married Howard Franklin Bailey, the son of William Thomas Bailey and Alice (Markle) Bailey.
