Sarah Jane (Asper) Ackley – December 25, 1848 – January 26, 1936

MRS SARAH JANE ACKLEY PASSES ON
Mrs. Sarah Jane Ackley, 87, died from pneumonia at her home at 2:00 O’clock Sunday morning.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at her homme, with the Rev. A. Van Benschoten officiating, and burial was in Hillside Cemetery.

Mrs. Ackley was the widow of Solomon Ackley.

She is survived by four children, Garry, Joseph, sons, and two daughters, Arminta and Mrs. Nellie Arhart; also two brothers, Herman Asper of Marble Rock,, and Rude Asper, Downs, Kansas.

Sarah Jane Asper was born December 25, 1848 in Summit, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph Asper and Prudence (Simmmons) Asper.

She married Solomon Judson Ackley in 1870 after his first wife Emily (Rex) Ackley had passed away.
