Orin Jester Peterson was born March 25, 1904 at Iowa to Johann Jacobsen Pederson (Peterson) and Ida Mathilde Huset, the oldest of their two sons. His younger brother was Milo John.

Found in the 1910, 1915 censuses at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa:

1910: John J Peterson 45, Ida Mathilda Huset Peterson 29, Orin Jester Peterson 6, Milo J Peterson 2.

1915: Orin age 10.

Orin was baptized and later confirmed at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on June 2, 1918.

He married a Rose (unknown surname).

Family found in the 1930 census living at Mason City, Cerro Gordo, Iowa: Orin J Peterson 26, Rose S Peterson 26, James Peterson 10 mos. Salesman for International Harvester Silos.

Orin J Peterson died in April 1978, at McCracken, Kentucky.
