Seaver (Severin) Jacobsen Peterson was born February 7, 1870 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa to Jacob Bjorge Pederson and Cecille Olsdatter, the seventh of their eight children.

Seaver married Emma Josephine Nelson on April 8, 1908 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. The couple had one daughter, Stella Eleanora.

Seaver J. Peterson died on March 26, 1945 at rural Floyd, Iowa. He was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.

Severin J. Pedersen (Peterson), 75, died at his farm home March 26, 1945 after a long battle with diabetes. He was born Feb. 7, 1870, in Rudd Township, Floyd Co., Iowa. His parents were Jacob and Sedsel Peterson.

He married Emma Nelson April 9, 1908 and they had a daughter Stella (Mrs. Claire Wrage). He was a life long member of RCLC and was baptized and confirmed at same.

Preceding him in death were his wife: parents; four sisters, two brothers and an infant granddaughter, Irene Wrage. Surviving are Mr & Mrs Claire Wrage (Stella & husband), three grandchildren and a brother who lives on the old homestead. Funeral services were held at RCLC March 28, 1945 by Rev CB Gunderson and burial was in the church cemetery.
