ROCKFORD, IOWA - Donald Parcher, 100, of Rockford, died early Sunday at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ROCKFORD, IOWA - Donald Parcher, 100, of Rockford died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
A funeral service for Donald will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City. Pastor Robert Scheurer from Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Hauser Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Donald Virgil Parcher, the son of Roy and Stella (Warner) Parcher, was born May 4, 1915, in Rockford, Iowa. He grew up in the Rockford area and attended country school. Donald helped on the family farm once he was finished with his schooling.
He married Beth Emory and this union was blessed with eight children. The couple later divorced. Donald was united in marriage to Bernice (Silvest) Cloud on Sept. 11, 1970, at the Methodist Church in Albert Lea, Minnesota. They made their home in rural Rockford for their entire married life.
Donald was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Rockford where he was very active and a past chairman in the church. He was also a member of the Rockford Elevator, Rockford Creamery, Osage Creamery, Floyd County Farm Bureau, Floyd County Extension Council, was a Country School Director and an Honorary Member of the Rockford FFA.
Living family members include his children: Larry (Jeannie) Parcher of Rudd, Ronald Parcher of Rockford and Janet (Lyle) Winters of Letts; 11 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice in 2004; three sons: Michael, Nick and Steven Parcher; two daughters: Linda O’Rourke and Bonnie Caspers; two granddaughters: Amy O’Rourke and Sarah Parcher; and two brothers: Gayle and Wayne Parcher.
