Kevin Patterson, 51, of Charles City died Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday April 30, 2015 at Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate.

Friends may call at Hauser Funeral Home an hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Kevin Erwin Patterson was born in Charles City on December 1, 1963, the son of Robert and Marlys (Dewalle) Patterson. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1982. For 25 years he was a devoted worker for L&J Industries. Kevin was united in marriage to Tina Thomas on September 18, 1993 in Charles City. He was a member of the Stoney Point Players, JC's and on the theater board. Kevin enjoyed taking pictures, being in plays, camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle, and collecting guns and cigars. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Between his sense of humor and being very social, he didn't know a stranger. Above all he was a wonderful, loving, caring father, grandpa, husband and friend.

Living family members include his wife, Tina of 21 years, his two children; Jodee (Andrew) Vickerman of Hampton and Megan (Michael) Williams of Charles City, six grandchildren; Savanah, Kirah, Aureah, and Zarah Vickerman, and Clarissa and Kevin Williams, his nephew, Dylan Patterson, his niece, Emily Patterson, his great nephew, Riley Weber, and one brother, Quinn (Renee) Patterson of Sigourney.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
