James Orcutt, 64, of Charles City died April 6, 2015, at the Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Funeral Services for James Orcutt will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd. Pastor Zach Fox will officiate. A private family burial will take place at Sunnyside Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may call at the church an hour prior to the service on April 10, 2015.

James Dwight Orcutt was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, on May 31, 1950, the son of Kenneth and Margaret (Beer) Orcutt. He graduated from Hershey, Pennsylvania High School in 1968. James was united in marriage to Becky Lovrien on March 21, 1981 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Most of his life he did construction. James loved to cook for his family, plant flowers, work on his yard every year, and worked on DIY projects. He loved playing legos with his grandson.

Living family members include his wife, Becky of 34 years; five children: Jessamy Orcutt of Charles City, Hannah (Jeff) Herman of Charles City, Ashley Orcutt of Charles City, Jacob Orcutt of Charles City, and Gabrielle Orcutt of Charles City; two grandchildren, Cameron Murray and Elijah Herman; three sisters: Kathy Richards, Carolyn Reynolds, and Ferne Orlando.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers,; Art Orcutt and Frank Beer.
