CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Thelma L. Kellogg, 92, of Charles City died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Patty Kellogg will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Thelma Leona Gravunder Kellogg was born March 13, 1923 at Opheim, Montana, the daughter of Adolph and Olga (Lundin) Gravunder. She received her education from Bloomer, Wiscconsin, later receiving her G.E.D. On April 18, 1941, she was united in marriage to Earl Kellogg. To this union six children were born. For over 30 years Thelma worked at the Charles City schools in the school lunch program. Her interests included canning, cooking and reading. Family was very important to Thelma and she took every opportunity to share life experiences with them.

Living family members include five children, Karen (Bob) Heuton of Fontanelle, Linda Hoy of Charles City, Duane (Sandra) Kellogg of Charles City, James Kellogg of Charles City and William (Patty) Kellogg of Charles City; a son-in-law, Tim Stevens of Ely, Minn.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren with one on the way; and a great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl on July 25, 1987; a daughter, Brenda Stevens; a granddaughter, Lisa Heuton; a son-in-law, Terry Hoy; three sisters, Ada Drapp, Ruth Pacer and Betty Bailey; and a brother Edwin Gravunder.
