Beverly Koenigsfeld, 77, of Charles City, died Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit in Mason City.
A funeral service for Beverly Koenigsfeld will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Boniface Catholic Church in Ionia. Reverend Mark Osterhaus will officiate. Burial will be in Saint Boniface Cemetery at Ionia.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday where there will be a Scripture Service held at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday at the church an hour prior to the service.
Beverly Ann Weitzel Koenigsfeld was born December 7, 1937, at Wells, Minnesota, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Applehaus) Weitzel. She attended school at Waterloo, later received her GED and graduated from Pitzies School of Beauty in Waterloo. On September 27, 1962, she was united in marriage to Charles Koenigsfeld at Waterloo. Beverly worked at Santa Claus and Associates in Waterloo before beginning her 52 year career as a hairdresser and proprietor of LaBelle Femme in Waterloo for many years, then moving to Charles City in 1977 where she opened the Hair Forum for Men and Women where she continued until the time of her death.
Her interests included reading, watching western movies and QVC shopping channel which fit in with her love of shopping. Beverly thoroughly enjoyed her profession and the many enlightening conversations with her clients.
Living family members include six siblings, James Weitzel of Chisago City, Minnesota, Betty Janes of Hayfield, Minnesota, Connie (Daniel) Gess of Clarks Grove, Minnesota, Rosie (John) Warner of Moundsview, Minnesota, Jerry (Joanie) Weitzel of Albert Lea, Minnesota. and Joyce (Jerry) Fletcher of Jordan, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles on April 6, 2000; and four siblings, Edward and Robert Weitzel, Katherine Lorentzen and Ruth Lawson.
