Melvin Leroy Breakey –April 9, 1882 – May 14, 1964

MELVIN BREAKEY

Rudd – Melvin L. Breakey, 82, died of a heart condition May 14, at the Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City.

He spent most of his life on the Roberts farm south of Nora Springs. He was married to Mrs. Carrie Havens on July 5, 1939.

Survivors are: His wife, Carrie, three step-children: Harry Havens, Waterloo, Lee Havens, Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs. H. C. (Daisy) Arvidson, Mason City; a sister, Mrs. Lewis (May) Glassel, Brea, California, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Sheckler funeral Home, Nora Springs, Monday. Interment was at Park Cemetery, Nora Springs.
