CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Harold Staudt, 90, of Charles City, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at his residence.

A funeral Mass will be held at noon Wednesday, February 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Gary Mayer will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where the rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. and a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the church an hour prior to the Mass.

The Hauser Funeral Home, 641-228-2323, Charles City, is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Staudt, 90, of Charles City, died Friday, February 13, 2015, at his residence.

A funeral Mass for Harold Staudt will be held at 12 p.m., noon, Wednesday, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Reverend Gary Mayer will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m. and a Prayer Service will begin at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the church an hour prior to the Mass.

Harold Paul Staudt was born January 27, 1925, at Charles City, the son of Paul and Margaret (Herman) Staudt. He received his education from the Immaculate Conception Parochial School. On April 24, 1948, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Heddinger. Harold farmed until the age of 40 at which time he did appliance repair for 20 years with Sears and then was self-employed.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. His interests included fishing, camping, bird watching, riding bicycle and tinkering. Harold always looked forward to the times he could spend with his family, sharing life's experiences with them.

Living family members include his wife, Marj of Charles City; seven children, Carol (Roger) Means of Auburn Ind., Jane (Dale) Hoeft of Charles City, Paul (Deb) Staudt of Ames, Clark Staudt of Des Moines, Rita (Mike) McCauley of Charles City, Brian Staudt of Charles City and Greg (Val) Staudt of Tex.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother and his wife, Frederick and Maejeanette Staudt.
