CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Carita C. Green, 80, of Charles City died Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the Ninth Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City, with Pastor Jim Beranek officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Carita C. Green, 80, of Charles City, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral service for Carita Green will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Charles City. Pastor Jim Beranek will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

Carita Cora Outhier Molby Green was born July 19, 1934, at Prescott, the daughter of Bradford and Clarice (Crosswait) Outhier. She graduated from Prescott High School, Drake University and Southwestern Community College.

On April 24, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wallace Molby. Two children, Alan and Annie were born to this union. They later divorced. She then married Dean Green in January of 1996. Over the years Carita worked as a teacher and nurse. Her career in geriatric nursing, which was her longtime dream and passion, brought her great joy as she fulfilled the needs of patients. Carita was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and loved volunteering in various ways for the church. When living in Prescott she was the church pianist.

She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Her interests included reading, working crossword puzzles and her dogs. Carita looked forward to spending time with her family and sharing life's experiences with them.

Living family members include two children, Alan (Diana) Molby of Westmont, Ill. and Annie Sawyer of Charles City; four grandchildren, Matthew (Brandiann) Molby, Nathan (Katie) Molby, Lena (Dan) Troike and Tara (Adam) Suter; and two great grandchildren, Laney and Brodey Suter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Bradley Sawyer; and brother, John Outhier.
