MESA, ARIZONA - Dean Timm, 86, of Mesa, and formerly of Nora Springs, Iowa, died Monday, January 12, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 28, 1928, to Hilda (Timcke) Timm and Fred Timm, near Swaledale, Iowa. He married Joyce Artz July 28, 1953. They moved to California after they were married.

He served in the military during the Korean War. He was an industrial engineer with Litton Industries in California until he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, and by two daughters, Paula and husband Bruce Lupatkin, and Tina and husband Ron Ross, of California, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilda and Fred and five brothers.
