WAVERLY, IOWA - Darrell Charles Dugan, 76, of Waverly, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at the Shell Rock Health Care Center.

He was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Charles City, son of Percy and Elizabeth Meyer Dugan. He married Lorna Sears on June 26, 1954, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Charles City.

He graduated from Immaculate Conception Catholic School in 1947. Following school he worked at the George P. Smith Company until enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Dugan later attended Linotype School and after moving to Waverly in April 1955 he began working for the Waverly Publishing Company, now Colorfx, where he worked for 38 years, retiring in December 1993.

Survived by his wife; a son, Gary (Sally) of Andover, Minn.; two daughters, Kathryn (Garry) Busching of Waverly and Claudia (Randy) Quiggle of Savage, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and his twin sister, Dolores (Carrol) Anderson of Charles City.

Preceded in death by a brother, William.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Marys Catholic Church, with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, where there will be a 7 p.m. Scripture service.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
