CHARLES CITY - Jerry D. Engelhardt Sr., 62, of Charles City, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City, of natural causes.

Survivors include his wife, Diana; two daughters, Sheila Fain of Waterloo and Julie Hase of Osage; two sons, Jerry Jr. of Marble Rock and Scott of Osage; a stepdaughter, Tamara Wessels of Charles City; two stepsons, Tim Temple of Phoenix and Troy Temple of Jefferson; 15 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; his mother, Vera Engelhardt of Charles City; four sisters, Vickie Davies of Charles City, Nancy Howland of Davenport, Joanie Lukes of Washburn and Debbie Foster of Clarksville; and a brother, Daryl of Garrison.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Engelhardt and Judy Harrington; and two granddaughters.

Services were 10:30 a.m. today at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Charles City, with graveside services at 1 p.m. today at Lime Springs Cemetery, Lime Springs; Fullerton Hage Funeral Home, Charles City, was in charge of arrangements; memorials may be directed to the Hospice of North Iowa.

Mr. Engelhardt was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War; he was a supervisor on the management team at White Farms and did custom farming; he later became a supervisor for SKITEC, Waverly, retiring May 7.
