Obituary for Mrs. Bonnie Lou Turner--
Bonnie Lou (Fowler) Turner, 60, Nora Springs, Iowa, died Sunday, November 16, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa, Mason City.
According to the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held in the spring with inurnment in Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Sheckler Colonial Chapel, 114 North Hawkeye, Nora Springs is in charge of the arrangements.
Bonnie Lou (Fowler) Turner was born on October 29, 1954, in Des Moines, the daughter of Dale and Katherine (Stice) Fowler. Bonnie attended schools in Delta, Iowa, Waukee, Iowa, Harlan, Iowa, and graduated from high school in Sherwood, Oregon. Bonnie also received her accounting degree from Dakota County Technical School in Rosemont, Minnesota. Bonnie worked as an accountant in Hastings, Minnesota, before becoming a switch board operator for Allian Medical Clinic in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.
She was united in marriage to Robert Michael Turner on August 7, 1982, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove, Minnesota.
Bonnie loved doing crafts, Christmas with her family, she also made all of her family Christmas ornaments for their Christmas tree, and gardening, but her great love and enjoyment was her family and grandchildren. Bonnie was born a Christian.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert M. Turner, Jr, of Nora Springs; her children and grandchildren, Tom (Jenny) Severson and their children, Claire and Marcie Severson all of St. Peter, Minnesota, Christina Turner and her children, Katarina and Kaiden Turner of Mason City, and Amanda Turner and her soon to be born daughter on December 26, 2014, Londynn Turner; her father and step-mother, Dale and Phyllis Fowler of Delta, Iowa; her siblings, Rick (Jan) Moore of Hillsboro, Oregon, Ronda (Ron) Hill of Sherwood, Oregon, Michelle (Charlie) Jordan of Ottumwa, Iowa, Merrill Moore of Delta, Iowa, and Ed (Mary) Fowler of Delta, Iowa; many aunts, uncles, and well as extended family members and friends close to the family.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Fowler.
