Julia Weydert, 62, of Charles City, died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at the Muse Norris Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

Funeral services for Julia Weydert will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauser Funeral Home. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Julia Ann Weydert was born September 12, 1952, at Pontiac, Mich., the daughter of Clifford and Helen (Kern) Hamm. She received her education at Charles City. On February 12, 1970, she was united in marriage to Lyle Patrie. They later divorced. She married Eugene Weydert, Sr. on April 16, 1976. Eugene died on November 24, 1980. Over the years Julia worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Casey's General Store and at the New Hampton Care Center. She was a member of Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school. Julia enjoyed crafts of all types and cooking. She looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas which were her favorite holidays. Grandchildren were always important to her and she treasured the times she could spend with them.

Living family members include her, fiancé, Curt North of Charles City; three children, Roxane (Dave Tonjes) Clay of Alta Vista, Randy Patrie of Charles City, and Eugene (Angie) Weydert, Jr. of Charles City; seven grandchildren, Brandon Parks, Jeridan Parks and Maisy Parks, Madison Clay, Alexis and Jaya Weydert and Austin Mangine; great granddaughter, Alivia Parks; two sisters, Marcia (Saul) Alvarez of Battle Creek, Mich., and Kimberly Hamm of Davenport; and two brothers, Denny Hamm of Charles City and Tracy Hamm of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Weydert, Sr.; and a brother, Kevin Hamm.
