IOWA DEATHS

Charles City – A former Charles City resident, Mrs. Emma Abel, about 57, Friday, at Gulfport, Miss., heart trouble and complications; had been ill several months; body was returned to Osage for burial; Mrs. Abel was the former Emma Koebrich, stepdaughter of Adam Koebrich, and was the stepsister of Mrs. Jack Hart of Hart court, Charles City; was employed in Charles City years ago at the telephone office and at one time worked at a local laundry, about 25 years ago she moved to Arkansas with her family and from there to Mississippi; lived with a daughter at the time of her death; leaves two daughters and three grandchildren; son was killed in action over Germany during World War II. He was a pilot during the war. Funeral services were Tuesday with the Rev. G.C. Lattner of Rockford officiating.
