NORTHEAST IOWA DEATHS

CHARLES CITY – Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grossman funeral home here for Christine Jennie Newman, 84, a resident of Charles City most all of her life, who died Monday evening at her home of complications of age; was the only World War I Gold Star Mother of the local American Legion Auxiliary; survivors include two sons, Elmer and Leo Newman, both of Charles City; two daughters, Mrs. Don Brown, Waterloo and Mrs. Earl Jorgensen, Charles City.

NOTE: Christine Newman was buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens
