Mary Reynolds Rites Monday in Charles City

CHARLES CITY - Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grossman-Hage Funeral Home for Mrs. May L. Reynolds, 72, who died Friday morning while enroute to the Cedar Valley Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack. The Christian Science Service will be read with burial in Riverside Cemetery. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Science.

Born Nov. 9, 1888 in Dundas, Minn., the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Vandervoort, she came to Marble Rock at the age of 13. Oct. 12, 1906, she was married to Franklin K. Thomas at Marble Rock. Nov. 3, 1923, she was married to Lorenzo Reynolds at Charles City.

Survivors include one son, Cecil Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Virchow; two step-daughters, Mrs. Alden Parson, and Mrs. Floyd Momberg, all of Charles City; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Galen in infancy, and Ernest in 1956; three sisters, three brothers and her husband.
