A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Hauser Funeral Home, Charles City. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag from St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City will officiate. Inurnment will be in Olinger Highland Cemetery at Northglenn, Colorado, at a later date.

Friends may call at Hauser Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Alexis Marie Davis was born February 22, 1992, in Denver, Colorado, to parents Michelle (Reynolds) Stark and Kurt Davis. She attended William C. Hinkley High School, Aurora, Colorado and Carrie Lane, Charles City, Iowa.

Alexis was a beautiful young woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She loved to journal, listen to music, her dogs were her best companions, strawberries were her favorite food, she loved children, and she was very close to her mother. Her motto in life was "Stay Strong," since birth, she fought her battle with liver disease daily, the family hoped for a liver transplant to no avail. She was the oldest living person with biliary atresia known by the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Living relatives include her mother, Michelle (Frank Smith) Stark, of Floyd, Iowa; her father, Kurt (Loretta) Davis, of Aurora, Colorado; siblings: Neiko Davis, of Denver, Colorado, Amanda Smith, of Mount Clemens, Michigan, great-grandmother, Margaret Rothaug-Defuniak, of Florida; great-aunt, Caroline (Kip) Jung, of Floyd, Iowa, a great-uncle, David (Sharon) Reynolds, of Como, Colorado, grandmother, Anna Davis, of Michigan; uncles: Edward (Lena) Reynolds III, of Denver, Colorado, Derek Davis, of Sterling Heights, Michigan, David of Davis, Michigan; a best friend, Brandon J. Vigil, of Aurora, Colorado; a Cousin, Amanda Lynne Crouse, of Denver, Colorado; along with several other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Edward (Rachel) Reynolds II, grandmother, Sigrid (Jerry) Ferguson, grandfather, Norman Davis, uncle, Nino Davis; great-grandparents: Edward (Mildred) Reynolds I, great-grandfather, Harry Rothaug, great-aunt, Deborah (Michael) Moore.
