CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Lois I. Hunn, 96, of Charles City died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa in Mason City.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

Lois I. Hunn, 96, of Charles City died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City.

There will be a private family graveside service at a later date. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.

Lois Irene (Little) Hunn was born January 20, 1918, in rural Charles City to Ben and Helen (Beck) Little. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1937. She was married May 25, 1945 to Orrin Leroy Hunn. Lois worked as a cook for many years. She enjoyed fishing and bowling. Lois moved from Charles City in 1969 returning in November, 2013 when she moved into Apple Valley Assisted Living.

Surviving are her three sons, David-Alpha, Illinois; Delbert-Sumter, SC and James (Judy) Hunn-Charles City; grandchildren Erica (Russell) Ogilvie-Alexis, Illinois; Julie Thinnifel-Childress, Texas; Tammy Hunn-Florence, South Carolina; Jennifer Watkins-Redding, Calif.; Jacqueline Miranda-Banning Calif.; step grandsons Dick (Dorene) Whitman-Cathedral City, Calif. and Bill (Kathy) Whitman Jr.-Sutter Creek, Calif.; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a niece, Lucille (Neir) Malenke-Savage, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter; sisters: Ruth Klinehart and Elva Neir; step daughter, Clarice Whitman; four daughters-in-law; and granddaughter, Myssi Leslie.
