Iowa Deaths

Charles City - Funeral services will be held at the St. John Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Wilhelmine Schwandt, 78, who died at Cedar Valley hospital Tuesday after a lingering illness; burial in Riverside cemetery; with the exception of one year she had lived in this vicinity 64 years; she made her home with two daughters, Ida and August Schwandt; born May 18, 1866 in Germany; married to Edward Schwandt in 1882; he died in 1937 and one son died in infancy; leaves three other daughters, Mrs. A.C. Guderion, Floyd; Mrs. James H. Charles, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. G.E. Lindaman, Staples, Minn.; Mrs. Schwandt had been a member of the Lutheran church for many years.
