LAST SERVICES FOR MRS. WITTER

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Witter of Des Moines were held at the Marble Rock Methodist church Sunday at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.W. Bearse.

Lee Adams sang accompanied by Mrs. Walter Marsh.

The flowers were in charge of Mrs. Russell Smith and Mrs. Clarence Barr. The bearers were nephews of Mrs. Witter.

Burial was in Hillside Cemetery.

Carrie Stover was born October 2, 1890 near Marble Rock the youngest daughter of Galen R. and Eliza J. Stover. She was married to Burr Witter in October 1911. Four children were born to this union. One daughter and her husband preceded her in death.

For some years the Witter family lived in this vicinity. After her husband's death, Mrs. Witter secured employment and a home near Harvey, Iowa where she has lived for 22 years.

When she became ill she was cared for in the home of her son near Knoxville, later taken to a hospital there. She passed away June 3rd at a Convalescent Home at Indianola.

Surviving her is a daughter, Mrs. Lulu Zimmerman, Charles City, a son Earl of Knoxville, three grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Marin Briggs of Cedar Falls, Mrs. Grace Wilder, Clarksville, Mrs. Agnes Harrington, Marble Rock and other relatives.
