Iowa Deaths

John Wentland, 70, well known farmer living four miles north of Charles City, Wednesday at the home of his sister, Miss Bertha Wentland, Charles City, where he has been cared for the last 10 days; on account of failing health he retired from farm work over a year ago; John Henry Wentland was born in Bremer county, near Waverly, Sept. 9, 1874, to H.A and Mary B Andres Wentland; was eight years old when the family moved to the farm north of Charles City, and had been a resident there for 62 years; leaves two brothers and five sisters, Mrs. Emelia Toepfer, Julia A. Wentland, Bertha Wentland and George Wentland, all of Charles City; Mrs. Lizzie Kearney, Oakland, Cal.; Mrs. Ida Eaton, Minneapolis, Minn., and Elmer Wentland, Waterloo.

NOTE: Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Charles City, Iowa
