MRS. NEIL FULLERTON DIES AT 93

Mrs. Neil A (S Jennie) Fullerton, 93, died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Miss Helen Fullerton, 842 11th NE. She had lived in Mason City 16 years.

Mrs. Fullerson was born December 29, 1868 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, daughter of Robert and Sarah (Greenman) O’Harrow. She came to Iowa in a covered wagon and settled in Owen Township, Cerro Gordo County, in 1870.

She lived on the home place until her marriage and taught a few years in the rural schools. She was married to Neil A. Fullerton, March 28, 1893. They farmed in Cerro Gordo County until 1910 when they moved to Rockford.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1912. From 1920 until 1945, she served as city librarian at Rockford. She moved to Mason City in 1945 and made her home with her daughter since that time.

Surviving are her daughter, a son, Harold R. Fullerton, Rockford; three sisters, Miss Pearl O’Harrow and Miss Mary O’Harrow, Mason City, and Mrs. Henry (Maud) Sell, New York City, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she also was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Fullerton was a member of the First Congregational Church, Chapter D.Z. of the PEO, and a member of the Browning Society.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Major Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ralph Casebolt, associate pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Rockford.

The family requested that any memorials be given to the First Congregational Church Scholarship Fund or the Rockford Library Fund. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Friday.
