HERBERT BENZEL DIES AT HOSPITAL

Funeral Services to Be Held Friday Morning; Burial at Rockford

Herbert Arthur Benzel, 33, died at a local hospital about 8:30 o'clock Tuesday night, following a brief illness. Mr. Benzel had taken ill about two weeks ago but had been at the hospital only four days.

Mr. Benzel was born March 5, 1901, at Rockford. He resided in Mason City at 202 First street, northwest, and was employed at one of the cement mills here.

Surviving Mr. Benzel are his wife, one son, Herbert, Jr. 8 years old, his mother Mrs. Martha Benzel, Rockford, a brother, William Benzel, Gary, Ind., and three sisters, Mrs. Ray Struchen, Rockford, Mrs. Erna Bolkman, Nora Springs, and Mrs. Martha Hutchison, Mason City.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9 o'clock at the Holy Family church. The Rev. Father R.F. Murphy will be in charge. Burial will be at the Rockford cemetery. The body was taken to the Patterson funeral home.
