David George Lienemann Sr., 62, of Nashua, died Monday, June 28, 2010, at home.
He was born November 15, 1947, in Charles City, son of George and Marian McKinney Lienemann. He married his long-time companion, Karen Teckenburg on February 27, 2010, in Waverly.
Mr. Lienemann graduated from Nashua High School in 1966, then went to work for the company that is now owned and operated as Terex Cranes, Waverly. He worked there for 43 years until his recent sickness forced him to take a leave of absence. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Nashua.
Survived by his wife; a son, David Jr. of Des Moines; a daughter, Amanda Lienemann of Marshalltown; a stepdaughter, Shawn (Chet) Teckenburg of Waterloo; a granddaughter, Sahara Fortner; two stepgrandchildren, Kit and Kade Williams-Teckenburg; a brother, Gary (Ruth) of Nashua; and a sister, Janice (Guy) Millermon of Cedar Falls.
Preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Shelby.
Celebration of Life: 2 p.m. Sunday, August 1, at Ruthie's Main Street Cafe, Nashua, preceded by an hour of visitation. Private burial will be held at a later date. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Nashua, is handling arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
He enjoyed the outdoors, whether his time was spent gardening, fishing, in his shop woodworking, or on his John Deere tractor, watching and playing "Wheel of Fortune" with his grandson, spending time with his nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and will be missed by all.
