CHARLES CITY, IOWA - August Birkholz, 87, died last evening at 8 o'clock at the family home, 701 Freeman Street. He was the father of William and Frank Birkholz, Rudd; Charles, and Mrs. Otto Dinkel, of this city.

His wife preceded him a few years ago.

The funeral will be Monday afternoon from the Lutheran church in charge of Rev. C. G. Prottengeier and interment will be in Riverside.
