CHARLES CITY, IOWA - William Arndt, a resident of this city. for the last 55 years, died yesterday at his home, 203 Eighth Avenue, from a prolonged, illness due to the infirmities of age.

He is survived by his widow, and the following children: Mrs. L. Frankenfield, residing near the city; Mrs. L. Pesch, Mrs. Clifford Weatherwax, city; Albert, Minneapolis, and Anton, St. Paul.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p. m. from the home in charge of Rev. Wesley Belling with interment in Riverside.
