MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Services for Donald E. Krambeer, 78, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Roseville; burial in the church cemetery.

He died Wednesday, January 27, 1988, at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, Charles City, after a brief illness.

Survivors include his wife, Agatha; a brother, Roy of Mason City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Marble Rock, where a rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today and a Scripture service at 7 p.m. Friday.

He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II, on the USS Kennebec and USS Nightingale as a chief petty officer. Mr. Krambeer was a Standard Oil agent in Marble Rock from 1946 until retiring in 1972. He served on the Marble Rock City Council from 1956 to 1964 and was mayor from 1967 to 1978. He also was on the board of directors of Floyd County Memorial Hospital from 1965 to 1985 and served as chairman for many years. Donald also served on the Floyd County Crime Commission and the Judicial Magistrate Commission until 1986.
