FUNERAL HELD FOR
MRS. G. KALDENBURG

Funeral services were held in Ames, Iowa, and Nora Springs, Iowa, on April 28, 1971, for a former Rudd area woman, Mrs. George Kaldenburg, 73. Burial was at Nora Springs.

Lura Bishop was born at Rudd, Iowa, on March 20, 1898, the daughter of Louis and Minette Hutchinson Bishop. She grew to womanhood in Rudd, and was graduated from high school there. She also attended Iowa State University in Ames.

She was married to George Kaldenburg at Rudd, on July 25, 1923. They made their home in Ames where he was on the faculty of the university for more than 30 years.

Mrs. Kaldenburg was a member of the Christian church, the Faculty Wives, and was past regent of the Sundial Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution in Ames.

Surviving are her husband, George of Ames; one son, Donald Kaldenburg of Ballwin, Missouri; her mother, Mrs. Minette Bishop, 103 years old, of Nora Springs; one sister, Mrs. Mary Carter of Osage; two brothers, Sereno Bishop of Rudd and Merit Bishop of Tigard, Oregon.
