Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, 1987, at the Gospel Lighthouse in Floyd for Estella M. Eliason, 84, of Rudd, Iowa. She died on Friday, June 12, 1987, at the Nora Springs care center. Rev. P. Phillips officiated and burial was in the Nora Springs Cemetery.

She was born on November 2, 1902 in Clear Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth (Dawson) Furleigh. She taught in a country school near Kanawha. On June 17, 1921 she married Edwin Nicoli Eliason in Clarion.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons; a brother and a sister.

Survivors include three daughters: Edna Eliason of Rudd, Betty J. Hvistendahl of Ellendale, North Dakota, and Mary Ann Lovell of Tipton; a son, A. E. "Bud" Eliason of Nora Springs; three sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Edith) Hemmings of Wisconsin, Mrs. Eleanor Hammond of Tennessee, and Mrs. Florence Rice of California; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
